LAST PDAY IN PROVO

September 21, 2018

First things first! Happy Birthday Tayden! If you have his email, please wish him a happy birthday!

Well I am just a few days away from leaving the Country! I can't even comprehend it at this point. There are 15 of us leaving to Urdaneta and will be on the same flight. One of my room mates, Elder Baldwin is the travel leader haha! He is a goober. He is one of my closest friends here at the MTC.

On the Tuesday night devotional, Elder Neil L Andersen of the Quorum of the Twelve came to speak to us! It was so cool, and the spirit immediately filled the room when it entered. He likes to go around and shake hands as he leaves, and you won't believe me when I tell you he shook my companions hand....... but not mine. I was trying to be respectful and wait for him to reach for my hand first, but he didn't haha! Now everyone in my district says that I got turned down by a general authority! I hear it at least once a day haha. But it's not all about the handshake anyway, it's about what you felt and what you learned. Something he said that really stuck with me was "Jesus really is everything we claim him to be." It seems really obvious, but to me that is such a powerful message. Think about all that our savior went through, for us! He bled from every pore for each and every single one of us. He was the only perfect person to walk on the face of this Earth. He really did carry the weight of the world on his shoulders as he carried that cross and completed the atoning sacrifice for man. A good scripture about Christ and His atoning sacrifice is Alma 7:11-17

There is a new Elder in our zone he got here last week. His name is Elder Johnson, he is so cool! Me and him get along so well, and I am appointing him to carry on my legacy hahaha. This kid is a freaking pilot though! How cool is that!

This last week has really just been a big party, my district has grown so close! None of us want to leave. We make up stories every night, and Elder Baldwin is the best at it by far! He is pretty smart for a dumb guy ;)

Time really is flying by soooooo fast, and that's great! I don't know if I'd be able to do this is the days were long. I'm sure my opinion on that will change over time haha.

I didn't take any pictures this week.... sorry! I'll make it up next week!

I love you all! And the next time I email, I will be on the other side of the world. 15 hours ahead! That is just so crazy to me!
