I AM IN FREAKING ASIA!
Week 4
September 27, 2018"Let me just start off by saying how weird it is to be in another Country! I can't even comprehend it! It is sooooo humid here. It's making my hair curly. Walking from inside to outside is like a whole new climate. An Elder in my district said a couple days ago, "I inhaled and got a drink of water" and I think that is the most accurate way to describe the humidity here. Even during exercise time, I was sweating soooo much and I didn't even really do anything.
The food here is really good, we eat rice for almost every meal. Yesterday for dinner we ate fish and nothing was removed from it. There was bone, guts, the head, eyeballs, everything! It was pretty tasty.
The MTC here is way smaller than the one in Provo. There are probably around 200 missionaries here compared to the thousands in Provo. I love it! Though I feel so far from home and I don't like that. It is a 15 hour time difference!
I was assigned a new companion, Elder Kolomalu. We get along well, though he is very quiet. And I miss Elder Summerville haha. Him and I grew so close back in Provo.
The 15 hour flight was trash. Flying sucks, but 15 hours on a plane is what I might imagine hell to be like. Especially surrounded by foreigners. It was so hard to get some sleep or to find something to do. Thankfully I brought some letters on the plane that I had received in provo. They were nice to read.
I don't have my camera cord here with me so I can't send pictures until next week so I'm sorry! I love you all and hope you have a great week. Sorry for the lame email I was kind of unprepared to send it.
Elder McDonald
